New Course: Building AI Agents in Finance Starting in Autumn 2026
The Executive Education division of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics at the University of Zurich will launch a new single-course program, Building AI Agents in Finance, in November 2026.
Executive Education Expands Its Offering in Artificial Intelligence for Finance
Executive Education continues to broaden its program portfolio in the field of Artificial Intelligence in Finance. Starting in November 2026, finance professionals and executives will have the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and skills in the application of AI agents within the financial sector at the University of Zurich.
Artificial intelligence is transforming not only how we work, but also which tasks we can delegate. Modern AI agents are already capable of handling complex processes by conducting research, analysing information, and generating outputs autonomously. The Building AI Agents in Finance course provides professionals and executives with a practical introduction to the use of AI agents in financial services.
Participants will learn how these systems work, where their limitations lie, and why human oversight remains essential. They will design and develop their own AI agent for a specific finance use case and set up a personal AI assistant. The program concludes with a project phase, during which participants deepen their knowledge and present their results.
The course is aimed at professionals and executives working in the financial sector, particularly in banking, insurance, asset management, fiduciary services, and consulting. Participants are expected to have a solid understanding of financial concepts, such as corporate finance, investment management, or related fields. No technical or AI-specific background is required. The program is designed for individuals who wish to understand, evaluate, and actively shape the use of AI agents in their professional environment.
